About Christian Science

Our church is part of the Christian Science community in Gloucestershire.

Christian Science is a faith based on the Bible and especially on the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. The Church of Christ, Scientist, to use the formal title of the denomination, was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879 as ‘a church designed….to reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing’. For the most concise statement on our core beliefs please click here.

Also of interest may be the Tenets of Christian Science, which appear in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, on pp496-497. Click here.

On this website you will find all the information you need about our services and facilities.  You will also find explanations of what Christian Science teaches and how this can help and heal in daily life.

Links to all the resources provided by The Mother Church can be found on the right (or at the bottom if you are looking at this on a phone), together with information about current events such as public talks on Christian Science.
